The first website I designed was in 2002. Things were a little different back then in comparison to todays amazing advances in technolgy. It is amazing what is available to us now as far as web design and development are concerned.
Here is just a small sample of some of our work over the years....
Kings Hill Taxis is one of a group of websites built to take online bookings for local taxi firms. The specification was that they needed an address lookup and mapping system that would work out the distance in miles between two unknown adresses and then give the route. Our system would them work out the cost depending on other factors including, the type of vehicle selected, the number of passengers, luggage, and if the booking was one-way or a return journey.
A recent project for 6th Airborne author Neil Barber. Neil wanted to get many of the unused interviews from the research he did for his 5 published works, and more recent material onto a website for his many followers and friends. We decided on using Wordpress for this so that Neil could add as many posts as he chose without any help from anyone else.
Neil says he has enjoyed learning some new tricks while building up the site, and loves adding new material in a relatively easy manner.
BarrysMag is the website of music promoters Barry and Maggie Sibbett who have been in the music Industry for 60 years.
The spec for this project was to allow Barry to upload text and images to make up adverts and displays of music gigs that BarryMag were promoting or just local venues that had good quality gigs in the South East area.
This project was purely to give builders John and Tom Copeland a web presence for their family run building company that had been working in the Medway and South East England area since 1986.
The design was already in play as J&T Construction had had their business fleet painted silver and their logo had already been designed in blue. Nothing to do but copy the colours and recreate the logo in a web based format and come up with a nice layout.
There's always work for good tradesmen and these guys have made a great business out of their plastering and rendering services.
Along with a Facebook business page and Twitter account, they wanted a website so that their potential clients could see some of their work and know that they were a legitimate enterprise.
A Wordpress blog dedicated to the sport of boxing.
This website has content added to it everyday, along with plugins for an XML sitemap and SEO functions, this means that the new content is updated to both Google and Bing search engines no less than every 24 hours, thus ensuring that the content can be found in searches.
Video content is added regularly from YouTube, so even on the odd occasion that blog posts are not added, there is always still new content added.
Former Gangland Boss Eddie Richardson.
Former villain Eddie is now a reformed character, doing a lot of work for charitable causes and always involved in events all over the country.
Now aged 84 (September 2019) Eddie has a new book out detailing his life as a gangster and the 23 years he spent at her majestys pleasure. Did you know Eddie learned to paint in prison and has sold his artwork ever since he was released from prison in 2001.
The design for this site was largely Eddie's and we weren't going to argue about it.
